Value System 1 has a sophisticated 12 Volt Electronic Circulator controlled by a 110 degree F snap switch placed in the collector and is powered by a transformer. PV Power options are available. System 1 is for use in areas with no freeze or very light freeze with the Dole Freeze valve option.
This system circulates potable water through the collectors and then returns the solar heated water into the storage tank. The standard configuration used a "Quick Connect" that replaces the drain at the bottom of the tank with a "coaxail" fitting. This fitting allows the solar collector's feed and return line to share the same hole.
Returning solar heated water goes through a center tube into the tank. The warmer solar heated water immediately rises and at the same time cool water is being sucked by the solar pump through the space around the hot return tube.
